Sample Itinerary

• Light lunch for the early arrivals and check-in at Borgo

• Time to unpack your luggage and relax in your room

• 4:30 Spritzer with an aperitivo on the veranda.

• Walking tour among the alleys of our medieval castle.

• Welcome dinner at the Osteria del Borgo where you will begin your journey.

First Day (Sunday)

• Full Italian breakfast (including cappuccino, fresh pastries and a lot more)

• Pasta making class, learn how to make authentic local home made pasta

( Maccaronara ) which will be served for lunch along with other local dishes made

especially for you by our chef.

• Stop at an open-air farmers’ market to pick fresh organic produce like the

locals.We will be using locally grown fruits and vegetables and some of the meats

for our dishes.

• Small walk around town and get to meet some of the locals while enjoying on ice

cream or a spritzer at our local bar.

• Dinner is served at the Borgo main dining room and consists of a 6 course paired

dinner prepared by our talented chef

• Singing and dancing with your entertainment on the veranda.

Second Day (Monday)

• Rise and shine full breakfast

• Second Cooking Class: Main courses and side dishes (i.e. eggplant parmigiana,

saltimbocca alla romana, etc.) Lunch consists of the fruits of your labor along with

other delicacies paired with local wine.

• Tour of a selected winery with tasting of local red wines ( Aglianico,Barbera) and

a visit to the vineyards and cellars also indulge in some of the local artisan cured

meats.

• Dinner at the Borgo 6 course meal paired with the wines you discovered earlier on

your tour.

• Let’s not forget singing and dancing with your entertainment on the veranda to

close out the night.

Third day (Tuesday)

• Rise and shine full Italian breakfast

• Departure of the full-day excursion and a boat ride to the seaside island of

Capri. You will be able to roam free to shop on the island for some local gifts like

homemade limoncello, handmade leather sandals.to bring back home for family

and friends. Or shop for designer fashion at some of the upscale shops for

yourself. You can visit one of its best known natural site: The blue grotto.

 

• Dinner will be pizza night back at the Borgo. Where you will be tasting some of

our famous Napolitan pizza cooked in our wood brick oven, paired with some of

our artesian beer or wine for the non beer drinkers.

• A night cap of Nocino or Limoncello while singing and dancing on the veranda.

Fourth day (Wednesday)

• Early Rise and shine for breakfast

• Mushroom hunting in our Apennine deciduous montane forests with some of our

local experts.

• Back at the Borgo for a Light lunch

• Shuttle to Caserta for an afternoon of shopping at our high end designer outlet ( La

Reggia )

• Dinner at a Michelin star rated local restaurant

• Return back to our veranda where will once again close out the night with a night

cap where we will be entertained by a local artist.

Fifth day (Thursday)

• Full Italian breakfast

• Final Cooking Class in the morning: Italian Desserts (i.e. Tiramisu, crostata with

home-made jam, red-wine ciambelline, etc.)

• Lunch at Osteria del Borgo where you will be indulging in some home made pasta

and home made side dishes by some of our local nonnas.

• Tour a famous cheese making factory to watch and learn from a master cheese

maker where you will be tasting some of the freshly-made Mozzarella di bufala or

some cured cheese ( Caciocavallo )

• visit our local market and shop for some of the items you used throughout the

week.

• Multi-course gourmet farewell dinner using most of the ingredients that you

discovered throughout the trip and the mushrooms that you found on your hunt ,

also paired with some our local wines.

• lets not forget our farewell celebration with music and wine on the veranda.

Sixth day (Friday)

• Enjoy another full Italian Breakfast

• Check-out and transfer to the airport or other form of transportation

• Arrivederci e Buon viaggio !!!

Last day (Saturday)
